I implemented this proof of concept in 2013 to demonstrate how Apple could leverage Spark for both batch and real time machine learning. The UI is implemented using Python. The back end was implemented in Java.
This POC became the architecture, design, and implementation for a Sentiment Analysis project I worked on outside of Apple in 2016. Our target population was the 12 "battle ground" states during the 2016 Presidential Election.
